Ear piercing

Ear piercing has been practiced since pre-historic times. Archeological evidence from different regions of the world justifies this practice in many civilizations.

There are several doubts regarding ear piercing. One such doubt is regarding the appropriate age for ear piercing. Although there are no prescribed age limits, it is very much necessary that the ear lobe should be of sufficient size. Ear piercing should be performed in a medical center so that all the necessary precautionary measures are taken care off. Generally, infection is considered to be one of the risks of getting the ear pierced. This condition however can be prevented if all the equipments used are sterile in nature.
